To enrich the broad curriculum taught, we offer a wide variety of valuable experiences for your child:

Clubs
Which may include-
Computer, Chess, Puzzle Club, Art, Brass Band, Guitar, Recorder, Choir, Percussion Gardening, Gymnastics, Cross-Country, Athletics, Netball, Rounders, Football,  Table Tennis, Dance and Drama.

Sport
The school has Football, Rounders, Netball, Handball, Futsall and Floorball teams that participate in friendly matches with local schools.

Choirs - Carol singing
One highlight of our school is our Carol Singing Tour of Bolton where we perform throughout the town. We have established a school tradition of excellence which is recognised by the general public. Singing groups and choirs entertain parents and perform in Bolton town centre and old People’s homes. They also take part in the Bolton Music Festival and in entertainment evenings at the Senior School.

Drama & Entertainment
Throughout the year there are opportunities for children to be involved in drama and entertainments, where they can learn many important skills. We have many visiting theatre productions, artists, poets and writers,  multi-cultural and road safety courses.

Trips, Educational Visits, School Holidays
Throughout the year children are invited on educational visits to, for example:
Nature Trails, Industrial Centres, Science Museums. These visits are to support work that is being carried out in class. Older children are given the opportunity to go away on adventure excursions where they can abseil, rock climb, canoe, fell walk, ski, raft build, and take part in archery, initiative tests and assault courses.

Book Sharing
We encourage children to ‘share’ books with younger and older children in organised sessions to help promote the love of books. Book and play making projects are frequently presented in school. Reading volunteers and specific library sessions support the use of books as sources of pleasure and information
