Harvest at BSCA

Harvest is an important time in the Christian calendar as it’s when farmers would gather in their crops and store them in preparation for the winter.

At this time of year we need to remember how important it is to give thanks for all that we have and give to those who are in need - showing our BSCA value of compassion to all.

‘’Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up’’ Galations 6v9

Student Voice set themselves the challenge to collect tins of food that could be donated to Urban Outreach in Bolton to help others in the town.

With the help of the Academy Chaplin Phoebe Moriarty, Student Voice promoted the appeal around the Academy and spent every spare moment sorting and boxing the donations. Mr Thomas kept a tally from each form and encouraged some healthy competition.

The form winners have been announced with 8NS in first place, 7TST in second and 10NI in third place. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the appeal.

Urban Outreach visited us to collect the tins – 800 from the Academy and express their thanks on behalf of the families in Bolton needing your support.
