Enjoy nature? Recycle.....Recyling logo.png

As of Monday the 24th of June Bolton St Catherine’s Academy has moved to a recycling scheme. We are doing this as to reduce the amount of waste, we as an Academy create.

A report from the Environment Agency has said that the River Mersey is the most polluted river in the UK. If we follow this recycling scheme then our school will reduce quite a lot of waste that will just end up in a landfill somewhere, and will stay there for up to 1000 years.

With this new scheme we will have 3 new bins, these new bins are:

  • Red bins are for Plastic bottles and Can waste.
  • Yellow bins are for Paper and Cardboard waste.
  • Green bins are for Food and Garden waste.

By doing this we as an academy are doing our bit to save the planet and to make our local area look and feel nicer.
