This weeks message from our lovely Christian Youth Worker - Tina Crossley.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future’ – Jeremiah 29:11

When I was younger (thanks to Jurassic Park), I wanted to be an archaeologist. Oh how things did not work out as I had first planned, a youth worker couldn’t be further away from digging up bones…bones would have never spoken back (sorry, a terrible joke, I couldn’t resist)!

What did you first want to be?

Did you get there?

Did things change along the way?

You may be good at having things all mapped out, maybe you know your next 10 year plan and you’ve worked out how you’re going to achieve it, but we all know life happens, and twists and turns come that we never anticipated.

Challenge of the Week

This verse is here to encourage you that when all is going in the opposite direction to what you planned, there is still ‘a plan’. Any and every situation can be worked into something good.

Just like going on a journey somewhere, roadworks are ahead and you may be being diverted to a safer but longer route, or another destination completely.

Challenges do not mean the plan has failed, it simply means the plan has changed. But be encouraged, there is always still a plan, just don’t abandon the journey.
