Harvest Celebrations

Early Years and Key Stage 1 celebrated Harvest in their assembly this week. Harvest is traditionally the time of year when crops are cut and collected from the fields and stored to provide food for the winter.

Mrs Watson led the assembly, which for reception class was there first big assembly in the Hall and had all the students singing and answering questions about growing our food, harvesting it and how it was made into food.

The students had kindly brought in lots of food that was displayed at the front of the Hall to donate to people less fortunate than themselves and heard all about the Urban Outreach charity in Bolton that was would collect it to pass to Bolton families in need.

Mrs Watson complimented the students on their excellent behaviour at the end of the assembly.
