Aqualease brought their ‘Rockpool Experience’ to our KS2 Science Club.
Their Marine Rangers brought underwater life from the British Isles coast to the classroom in a fun and innovative way.
Our KS2 children experienced the delights of rockpools in the classroom unravelling the mysteries of many sea creatures and allowing children to experience the feel and smells of the beach.
They met Terence the purple sunstar fish and when asked ‘how does it feel?’ the quick reply was ‘cold and wet!’ and most children decided that on their next trip to the beach they certainly would be taking advantage of the rock pools!
Mrs Mearns and Mr Hill both said ‘We loved it’ Fantastic creatures, the sea life was great. The staff were great with our children.’
This experience was certainly a hit and I’m sure Aqualese will be back to BSCA.
