Year 4 are Off for an Adventure
Year 4 went off to Petty Pool Outdoor Centre to experience a world of climbing, abseiling, zip wire, den building and how to look after animals. Petty Pool is a licensed outdoor education centre located in 40 acres of woodland at Sandiway in Cheshire with all activities being Risk Assessed to reassure every visitors’ safety and best possible experiences.
Thanks to Turton Rotary Club Year 4 had an action packed day starting with a coach trip to Sandiway before the thinking skills had to be used to carry out the huge range of physical tasks and challenges waiting for them to take part in. The rain stayed away for the day so that everyone had more fun. Many of the activities relied on every member of the class working together as a team without even realising they were!
So after spending an afternoon in the conservatory at BSCA camping and being inspired by Berlie Doherty stories Year 4 had the opportunity in real life to come back to the Academy and write their own creative diary entries.
