AppsforGood is an award-winning open-source education movement that aims to build the next generation of problem solvers and makers.

We have been involved with AppsforGood for a number of years at the Academy and regularly host events to train other teachers about designing Apps. Our students take part in their challenges and attend conferences at a national level.

Sophie Willis and Lydia Saunders (Year 11) are both Fellows of AppsforGood and went along with Mr Kemp to the national conference in London on 4th February 2016. They act as coaches and mentors to students in other schools across the country and have the daily task of using social media to promote AppsforGood and help others. Sophie came back to school with job offers ready for when she leaves full-time education.

Do read Sophie’s blog and keep up to date with her work  http://blog.appsforgood.org/
