Year 12 Sports Studies @Bolton Inclusive Games

Year 12 experienced the culmination of their planning on Tuesday 6th March as they helped with the organisation and running of the Bolton Inclusive Games. These were held at the David Lloyd Leisure Complex in Bolton with many local secondary schools entering teams inconjunction with Bolton 'School Games'.

Our students organised teams, refereed, coached the competitors, kept scores and made sure the morning ran so smoothly no one realised they weren’t professional event organisers.

Miss Rushton made sure all of year 12 had a tour of the David Lloyd Leisure Complex so they could see a different side of the industry and identify employment opportunities for the future.

All the Year 12’s enjoyed the morning, remarking how good it was to see the pleasure and delight on the faces of the competitors as they enjoyed the different sports they took part in.

Year 12 all agreed they were well prepared for the event and the knowledge gained so far had enabled them to do their very best. All that is left to do is the write up for the unit.
