Nursery and Early Years

Foundation Stage
In our Nursery we aim to offer your child a variety of experiences and activities designed to further their individual development.  We hope that your child discovers that learning can be an enjoyable and worthwhile process.

We provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children feel happy and secure. Our experienced team encourage the emotional, personal, social, physical, creative and intellectual development of the children. We also encourage positive attitudes to self and others whilst developing confidence and self esteem through communication skills.

We believe children learn best through play and exploration. Children are allowed to discover for themselves along side directed instruction.

We have full and part time places. Children attend either mornings, afternoons or full day.

Morning Nursery 8.45am-11.45am
Afternoon Nursery 12.20pm-3.20pm
Full Day 8.45am-3.20pm

In the summer of 2009, extensive changes were made to allow the foundation stage to work more closely together. This has included a new outdoor learning area with climbing equipment and a large open space for children to explore. Internally it has three rooms linked by a large creative space.  Nursery and reception have separate home rooms.

By working together as a stage we are able to meet the individual requirements of our children more closely.

Early Years
The children are gradually integrated into the Reception class. During the summer term before they move into reception, frequent visits are made where they meet the teachers and work on play activities and games.
