Here at Bolton St Catherine's Academy we firmly believe that positive relationships formed with parents and the involvement of parents in academy life are vital to helping children to succeed.
"Parents and the home environment are the most important factor in shaping their children's well-being, achievement and prospects"
"Every Parent Matters" - DFES 2007
In order to improve what we do we have embarked upon the Leading Parent Partnership Award project (LPPA). The benefits are set out as follows:
● To improve pupil attendance, punctuality, behaviour and progress
● To increase parental participation and involvement
● To enhance parental support for children's learning
● To improve home/school communication
● To provide qualitative and quantitative evidence of improvement and success
We greatly value parental opinions and involvement. We strive to work in partnership so that your children achieve as much as they possibly can. We want to ensure that we are a listening institution. The term parent covers parents, carers, grandparents and other key family adults.
The project is being coordinated by Mrs D Schofield (pastoral coordinator - primary site) and Mr C Caldwell (Vice Principal).
