Ambassadors
At Bolton St Catherine’s Academy, our values of Believe, Strive, Care, and Achieve are at the heart of everything we do. These principles guide our students in their growth as confident, compassionate, and capable individuals. This year, we are proud to introduce our new ambassador team, who have been carefully selected to embody these values and champion them within our school community.
The process of selecting ambassadors is a celebration of leadership, dedication, and character. It begins with students submitting a formal letter of application, accompanied by a teacher reference that highlights their contributions and qualities. Shortlisted candidates then take part in a dynamic group interview task designed to showcase their collaboration and problem-solving skills. Finally, candidates undergo individual panel interviews, where they articulate their vision and commitment to the role. This rigorous process ensures that each ambassador truly reflects our school’s ethos and is prepared to make a meaningful impact.
Each of our values—Believe, Strive, Care, and Achieve—has a dedicated lead ambassador. These individuals serve as champions for their assigned value, embedding it into the fabric of our school through targeted initiatives, events, and daily interactions. Crucially, each lead ambassador works closely with staff, collaborating to align their efforts with the school’s broader goals. They also lead a team of students, empowering their peers to take an active role in promoting our values and contributing to the school’s vibrant community.
- Believe: The ambassador team for Believe inspires confidence in their peers, promoting self-belief and resilience. Through mentorship and encouragement, they ensure that every student feels empowered to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams.
- Strive: The ambassador team for Strive motivates others to push their boundaries and embrace perseverance. Whether through academic or extracurricular efforts, they highlight the importance of dedication and hard work in achieving success.
- Care: The ambassador team for Care fosters an environment of kindness, inclusion, and empathy. They work to support student wellbeing, promote respect, and create a school culture where everyone feels valued.
- Achieve: The ambassador team for Achieve celebrates both personal and collective accomplishments. They help others set goals and pursue excellence in all areas of school life, recognising that success comes in many forms.
Together, the ambassadors form a cohesive team that leads by example, strengthens our community, and ensures our values are not just ideals but lived experiences. Through their collaborative efforts with staff and their leadership among students, they create a school where everyone can Believe, Strive, Care, and Achieve.
