Governance

Bolton St Catherine's Academy is supported by an Interim Standards Board. This board has been created by the Trust to provide additional expertise, focus and guidance as the school continues to strengthen. To help ensure the school makes rapid progress towards its ambitious aims the Interim Standards Board was set up as a temporary replacement for the Local Governing Board. The Board meets regularly to work with the Headteacher and leadership team to support rapid improvement.

The Interim Standards Board:

Keeps students at the centre - supporting decisions which focus on the best outcomes for children.

Supports and challenges school leaders - assisting in the drive for improving  teaching, learning, behaviour and wellbeing.

Monitors progress - helping to ensure the school stays on track with its priorities and continues to grow.

Bring valuable skills and experience - Governors who, through their knowledge and expertise, help the school move forward.

Link closely with the Trust Board - making sure the school's progress and priorities are communicated and the Trusts vision and ethos are achieved.

The Interim Standards Board works closely with staff, families and the wider community to ensure the school remains a happy, safe and ambitious place for every child to learn and thrive.
