PAN Consultation
The Bishop Fraser Trust and the Leadership Team of Bolton St Catherine’s Academy propose to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) for new Reception pupils from 60 to 30, to take effect from September 2026.
Securing optimal funding for our school is achieved in large part by accurately matching our PAN to the number of children who actually join us in Reception each year. The proposed change is designed to accommodate the falling birth rate across the borough, and to ensure that our PAN is up to date within our local context.
