How do you relax? What do you do to switch off from the constant to-do lists? For some of you it might be sitting in your dressing gown watching a film with snacks by your side, whilst for others it might be getting out and going for a walk or a run. It’s so important for our well-being that we are relaxing and getting our minds off work mode, whatever that looks like for you. With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, we all know the longer period of rest is in sight. But as great as half terms are, I don’t think it’s healthy to live life at such a speed that we don’t take rest in between those.



The bible teaches us in the verse above about peace, and how it’s peace that will guard your mind and your heart. Rest is important and is what we take from work, but peace is something we can have within it. We don’t need to wait till a half term to access peace. We can access that peace every day in a few different ways.

  • ​Share the load - know you're not alone, ask people for help.
  • Focus on the good - out of every bad situation, focus on what good can be found.
  • Pray - if you want us to pray with you, email over something and Annabelle and I will pray.​
