Supporting Bolton St Catherine’s Academy students and parents/carers through uncertain times

24th June 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

Hope you are keeping well and safe during this difficult time.

During this uncertain time, I wanted to get in touch to let you know what Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is doing to support your child as we adapt to an ever-changing situation regarding COVID-19 and government restrictions affecting our activity.

Unfortunately, due to the continued social distancing measures in place, we have been unable to run our career activities and events. We are working hard to find alternative methods of providing the information and resources needed to support our students and parents/carers whilst students consider their future opportunities. The CEIAG section of the school website now has an extensive amount of resources and post-16/18 information that students will need during their academic career at Bolton St Catherine’s Academy, such as; presentations, taking part in live chats, master classes, virtual tours, virtual open days, virtual visits, links to colleges/universities and apprenticeships. This information and support will help your child to transition on to the next stage of their academic career.

We have added a section for parents/carers ‘ The Bolton Area Learning Community and Careers’ where you will find information on your local UCAN Centre’s to access  information and support for you, your family or anyone you know in your community who may need help with health and wellbeing, employment support, debt or money advice.

If you have any questions or need any advice or support, please do not hesitate to get in touch using our ‘Contact’ page.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Begum
