Last weekend Miss Platt, Miss Bradburn, Mr Thomas and two member of Girls Group - Louise and Molly in Year 10 represented the Academy at the Smithill’s Christmas Markets, raising money for Urban Outreach- Christmas dinner on Jesus.
Despite the most horrendous weather the team demonstrated true resilience and managed to raise over £200 selling aprons and bags which will go towards the ingredients needed for the Urban Outreach Christmas hampers.
This is the girls fourth year raising money for Urban Outreach which shows how passionate they are about creating a caring community. The event was extremely successful and we are looking at matching last year’s figure of £5400.
Urban outreach tweeted the girls thanking them for their support “Thanks so much for your support with such entrepreneurial spirit I’m sure you’ll go far”.
