Reflections of the week ......

My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family” – Judges 6:15Thought of the week.png

Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a brilliant Christmas and are ready to go for 2020! I’m going to be taking us through this next half-term of thoughts for the week looking at the life of Gideon and the way he embodied our school values.

January is notorious for being the most depressing month of the year. The Christmas decorations are down, there’s no more lights on houses to light up the dark nights and everyone seems to be making new year’s resolutions left, right and centre.

As January hits and you find yourself looking toward everything the year may have to hold, you may be asking yourself, am I ready for this? Don’t worry, you’re definitely not on your own. It’s not uncommon to experience self-doubt, but we can’t let this distract us from our goals and ambitions.

Challenge of the week.png

Gideon was no stranger to self-doubt. He was tasked by God to lead the people of Israel, but didn’t believe he was the right man for the Job. He doubted himself so much that he even considered himself to be ‘the least in his family’. However, he had to choose to believe that what God said about him was true.

When you experience self-doubt, what can you choose to BELIEVE in to alter your perspective? Gideon got his inner strength from God, who in your world helps to pick you up when your confidence drops?

Let’s be a team that builds each other up and BELIEVES in one another this year.

Staff quote of the week.png

This week’s staff quote comes from the awesome Joanna Savage:

"Our work is a reflection of the quality of our life we lead on a daily basis. We need to pace ourselves for a productive long innings; life's a marathon not a sprint.”
