Thought of the Week

This week we are supporting one of our 3 main charities as a school, URBAN OUTREACH. Every year in the lead up to Christmas, we do a collection for Urban Outreach to support their Christmas Dinner on Jesus initiative which provided 1270 Christmas hampers last year to families who may not have been able to have Christmas Dinner. This year we are collecting MINCE PIES (in packs of 6). The Urban Outreach Grub Tub is back out in the Reflection Room in Secondary, there is another at the main doors of Primary and can be handed in at the Main Reception.

We did so well with collecting Harvest tins, collecting a total of 419. Our challenge this week as staff members is to continue to embody our ‘care’ value ourselves by bringing in as many mince pies as we can. Please can we also remind secondary students we are doing a form competition again for the form who brings in the most mice pies. There is another prize up for grabs for the winners.

This week’s quote comes from Mel Johnson:

"To me being successful means being a kind, genuine and good hearted person."
