"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge" – 2 Peter: 5
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
This week is our final instalment of this half terms ‘thoughts’ around the purpose of the church, and we are looking at how it is there to help teach us and guide us. The bible is full of wisdom, so much so that despite whether a person has faith in God or not, the values and teachings in the bible are still used to help shape us as a person. Often we can be turned off from teachings in the bible, simply because they are ‘from the bible’, but it’s good to be open to them as there are some real hidden gems in there that can help us through any situation we find ourselves in.
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK
We’ve been sending ‘thoughts of the week’ for almost a year now to all our staff team, and I understand they will have been received differently by everyone due to us each being unique in our views and perspectives. However for this week, I thought it would be a good challenge to find out how these thoughts and ‘teachings’ from the bible have been received so far. Have they helped you in any way? Have you been surprised by the relevance of some of them? Have they supported you on a personal level? Have they benefitted us as a staff team?
