comedy_about_a_bank_robbery.jpgWednesday afternoon Year 11 Drama GCSE students went to the Grand Opera House theatre in York to watch ‘The Comedy About a Bank Robbery’ by Mischief Theatre and written by founders if the group Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields.
It is a fast, fabulous and hilarious comedy set in the Summer of 1958, Minneapolis. The ‘dodgy’ City Bank has been entrusted with a priceless diamond and everyone in Minneapolis is a ‘crook’! So you can imagine the comedy capers that resulted in desperation of getting their hands on that diamond.
Our Year 11’s loved this performance and told Miss Kirkman their Drama teacher:
“It was smashing!”
“It was an amazing experience!”
“It was a genius performance, which had the audience roaring with laughter!”
