Colleges & Providers Accepting Applications for Apprenticeships, Courses, Study Programmes and Traineeships 

Due to ongoing Covid-19 situation we are expecting that apprenticeship vacancies will be between 20-25% of the usual number of opportunities. The following colleges and providers are accepting applications for apprenticeships as well as their alternative provision including traineeships and study programmes.

 

Alliance Learning: 
Are still accepting Apprenticeship Applications and are undertaking Information, Advice and Guidance sessions remotely or via the telephone. If possible they will also hold these sessions in our centre (if government guidelines allow).

Hopwood Hall College

Post COVID-19 there may be fewer apprenticeship vacancies available as employers adjust to new ways of working. If you haven't already done so, we would strongly recommend that you also apply for one of our full time courses.  Many include work experience which will help develop your skills as well as potentially leading to Apprenticeship opportunities. It makes sense to have an offer in place, visit www.hopwood.ac.uk to explore our full-time courses and to make your application. Once you have applied you will be invited to join in our Virtual New Starter Day on 30th June, this is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for what to expect as you step up to College.

From all of us here at Michaeljohn we hope that you are keeping well. Due to the current COVID19 situation, we are currently conducting our interviews for Traineeships/Apprenticeships in Hairdressing and Barbering via telephone for the foreseeable. We are running LIVE workshops on our social media over the next coming months for our 2020 applicants. We have put a lot of work into getting our applicants exclusive resources that our current Michaeljohn students use on a weekly basis. Apply via our website if interested!

Oldham College remains OPEN and has switched to online and remote working. They are still accepting applications for apprenticeships and courses. Once they receive your application you will be contacted by one of their advisors who will be able to offer further guidance and support.

T Levels are due to be introduced from the academic year 2020 to 2021. General guidance can be found on the GOV.UK website here. New updates have been added to existing guidance, including information on 2022 T level providers and updated course titles.

Apprenticeship Podcast for Young People
A brand new @ApprenticeTalks (Twitter handle) podcast is now available. Made by young apprentices to educate, inform and give insight into what it’s really like to be an apprentice and is now live on Spotify and other major streaming sites. Apprentice talks will be releasing an episode every Friday for nine weeks from the 15th May 2020.
