The Bolton Area Learning Community and Careers

Career Advisors around Greater Manchester meet several times a year to share good practice and coordinate some of our activities. Very strong relationships have been forged and the over-arching aim is to share knowledge, resources and expertise for the collective benefit of all of the young people of Greater Manchester. An obvious example of this effective collaboration may be seen in the promotion of the Work-experience programme where schools work together in finding places for our learners. It also makes sound economic sense to share employability initiatives amongst all of the interested stakeholders.

We would like to work with organisations of opportunities in education, training and employment who can contribute directly to our career programme by giving our young people insights in to future options. Contracting with agencies that can provide services that support the development of our careers programme in schools and harnessing the active involvement.
