Bolton County Grammar School Reunion

Bolton County Grammar School Old Student’s Association

Bolton County Grammar School was established in 1947 and continued until 1982 having evolved from its early origins in 1881 as Bolton Higher Grade School and then to Bolton Municipal Secondary School in 1906.

The past students of Bolton County Grammar School have a thriving Old Student’s Association and meet every two years to catch up and celebrate their history.

Saturday 23rd April 2016 was the date set for their latest reunion and fortunately they chose to meet together at Bolton St Catherine’s Academy as they were so excited to see the new school.

Many of the past students who came along were in their eighties and late seventies and enjoyed sharing their memories with the ‘young ones’, who were only in their late fourties!.

Our ‘glass classroom’ had a wonderful display of photographs and registers from the school and many of the guests were heard ‘squealing with a mixture of delight and embarrassment’ as they found themselves as teenagers.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to the next reunion in 2018..... planned to be held at BSCA.
