‘Christmas Sparkles’ for the Golden Oldies
It was decided to make the Golden Oldies Christmas Lunch sparkle in a slightly different way this year. They came along to join us actually on our BSCA Christmas Lunch day and share more of life at BSCA.
The Year 8 Student Voice team - Beth Crossley-Morris, Franklin Ugwu, Adam Webber, Darcie Lomax, Lucy McDermott and Luke Worthington set the tables, welcomed our guests and seated them ready for some pre-lunch entertainment. The Year 11 GCSE Music class performed some live musical pieces both singing and playing the guitar.
Lunch was served – turkey, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and just about everything you could wish for in a traditional Christmas dinner. After mince pies a lovely hot pot of tea completed the lunch.
Miss Ibrahim’s Year 10 students made Everlasting Fabric cacti (as part of a sustainability project) for all the Golden Oldies to take home – to sit on their window sill at home and remind them of hot sunny days.
All that was left was for Mr Hawkrigg to take everyone back home in the mini-bus and Student Voice to clear the room after such a lovely experience.
