Gold and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Show Fantastic Working Together

Every Wednesday afternoon the bronze and gold award Duke of Edinburgh students spend time working on their awards.  Recently each group has spent time on their outdoor cooking skills, first of all they learnt how to cook on a trangia. A trangia is an outdoor stove that is easy to set up and folds away after use and is lightweight so easy to carry.

This week the Bronze and Gold Award students met together and had a lively session planning meals they hope can be cooked on a trangia. Next week the planning turns to reality as the students ‘get cooking’ their meals.

With an outdoor expedition looming in April there will be a lot of hungry students unless they master and perfect their cooking skills.
