Year 3/4 Ritchie Cup for Dodgeball
BSCA maintained their complete dominance of the local Year 4 sports competition scene by winning the inaugural Ritchie cup. Year 4 now hold the cups for futsal, sports hall tag rugby league, tchoukball, handball and now dodgeball. Lots of extra work now to keep the trophies clean and sparkly!
6 teams from 4 schools took part in the dodgeball competition – BSCA A,B and C, Moorgate, Red Lane and SS Osmund and Andrews.
5th/6th place match saw BSCA B beat SS Osmund and Andrews by 2 games to nil
In the semi-finals – in the first semi BSCA A had a very convincing win against SS Osmund and Andrews by 2 games to nil, both games ending with the same score 5-1.
The second semi-finals saw Red Lane win against BSCA C after even after a play-off game the match was tied at 1-1. In the play-off match for 3rd and 4th place, Red Lane very convincingly beat BSCA C by 2 games to nil.
The final had the potential to be very exciting but unfortunately for Red Lane BSCA A proved to be the dominant team winning both games 5-1 to take the final 2 games to nil.
Congratulations to the team.
