THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
This week we are focussing on Remembrance Day, as an academy and as a nation. In order to keep progressing and moving forward, we can often forget to look back and see how far we’ve come. Remembrance Day is a great time to create a ‘pause’ moment. A moment of reflection, that causes us to shift our minds from the frustrations of where we want to be but aren’t yet, to being thankful for where we are now in comparison to where we once were.
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK
Whilst we look back and remember the fallen this week with huge respect and gratitude, lets also create a personal ‘pause’ moment. What have you achieved over the last year, 5 years, or even 10 years? What tough situations have you got through that have made you stronger today? When you look to the future, let the past remind you of all that you have achieved so far, and encourage you of the strength inside you. If you’ve done it before, you can do it again!
This week, pause to thank God for the fallen, and pause to thank God for your journey so far.
And let’s encourage our students to do the same.
