BSCA is committed to creating an environment where exemplary behaviour is at the heart of productive learning. Everyone is expected to maintain the highest standards of personal conduct, to accept responsibility for their behaviour and encourage others’ to do the same all underpinned by our values:
In the classroom, students are judged using ‘Steps 2 Success’ criteria (shown over page). This is a lesson by lesson record of how students are conducting their learning behaviours. The expectation is that all students will achieve a minimum of ‘Accepting the Challenge’ in every lesson.
Students achieving 3 or more ‘determination to success’ behaviours in a day will receive a text/email home to celebrate their success. Any student receiving a ‘selfish’ score will also receive a text home. For any student receiving a ‘disrespectful’, this will result in a phone call and conversation with home.
