Applying for a place

Why should I send my child to BSCA?

We want our young people to live out the values through their actions- believing in themselves, their community and their education. We know that our students strive to be the best they can and have success and fulfilment. We want our students care for their community and demonstrate that care with kindness and politeness. Ultimately we want all our students to achieve, "life in all its fullness."

Can I come and have a look around school?

Yes, you can attend our Open Evening on Wednesday 15th September between 4 and 7pm, or one of our Open Mornings on Thursday 16th September, Tuesday 21st September or Monday 27th September, all at 9.30am.

How do I apply?

You can now go on to the Bolton Council school admissions website and make an application for a secondary school place. To apply online please go to https://www.bolton.gov.uk/admissions/secondary-school-places. Guidance notes about how to apply online are available on the website - .

Applications for secondary school September 2022 will open on Tuesday 31st August 2021. The closing date for secondary school applications is 31st October 2021. The offer date for a secondary school place is 1st March 2022.

You can express a preference for up to three schools online and I would advise you to submit all three preferences.  If you have any problems using the online application form or website or you need assistance and advice about school admissions please contact the Pupil Services team on admissions@bolton.gov.uk
